Kings Scholars Taster Session Huge thanks to @KingsCollegeLondon for welcoming our Year 8 King's Scholars back for an inspiring day of taster lessons! Our first workshop explored Geographical Imagination - students examined how personal experiences shape the way we perceive new places Next, Law undergraduates introduced our Scholars to the concepts of actus reus and mens rea — ending with a lively debate on the age‑old question: Are Jaffa Cakes biscuits or cakes? 🍊🍰 Our Year 8s were exceptional, showcasing clear reasoning, respectful dialogue, and outstanding oracy skills. 🌿 Exciting news from Friends of The Elms! 🌿 The first major fundraising project is underway — the creation of a Wellness Garden in the school courtyard. This will be a calm, supportive space for all students, designed to boost wellbeing and provide a place to recharge. 💚 The fundraising target is £10,000 to bring this vision to life. 🏃‍♂️ Get involved at the first event!
