PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) & Relationships and Sex Education
PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Consultation
We review our Relationships, Sex and Health Education Policy every year and consult with our stakeholders every two years. As we have now completed our review, we now want to consult with other stakeholders including our parents and carers. We have attached the Relationships, Sex and Health Education 2025 below for you to review and provide feedback. The consultation will run from the 21st March to 22nd April 2025.
If you have any views or feedback about the policy and its contents, please share your views via email to reception@theelmsacademy.org.uk for the attention of the Headteacher, Mrs. Welch and the Assistant Principal, Mrs. Haworth.
Once the consultation period is over, we will share the final policy with all stakeholders.
Here is a copy of the latest policy which we are consulting on and would like your views and feedback on:

From September 2020, it is a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales are teaching Relationship and Sex Education as a fundamental part of the curriculum.
As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content.
